Police Force Boxing Team Gears Up for National Championships

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) boxing team received vital equipment support on Tuesday as they intensify preparations for the upcoming Terrence Poole National Intermediate Boxing Championships, demonstrating the Force's continued commitment to athletic excellence and youth development in sports.

Equipment Boost for Championship Preparation

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) Ravindradat Budhram presented the new gear at the Police Sports Club ground to Head Coach Dexter Marques, a veteran national boxer. This equipment delivery marks another milestone in the GPF's ongoing support for their boxing program.

Training Intensifies for October Showdown

Coach Marques confirmed that training began three weeks ago, with 20 police boxers preparing for the championships scheduled for October 25-27 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. The new equipment arrives at a crucial time in their preparation cycle.

"The gear is an added boost," Marques stated, highlighting the timing's significance for their championship campaign.
