Founded by Olga Byrne in 1973 and formally registered in 1975, GRPA has evolved into a cornerstone institution for reproductive health services. The organization's commitment to comprehensive healthcare has positioned it as a progressive force in Guyana's social development, particularly in advancing women's rights and healthcare access.

GRPA's services encompass critical areas including family planning, cancer screening, and HIV prevention. Their work in addressing community safety and public health concerns has been instrumental in shaping national healthcare policies.
