Busta representatives and Petra Organisation officials announce major sponsorship for Schools Football League

Guyana Beverage Inc. (GBI) has announced a significant GYD$1.1 million sponsorship for the 6th Annual Republic Bank Schools Football League through their Busta brand, demonstrating continued support for youth football development in Guyana.

Tournament Details and Impact

The tournament, organized by the Petra Organisation, is scheduled to kick off on October 19th at the Ministry of Education Ground, with finals set for November 30th. This initiative builds on Guyana's growing football momentum, providing essential competitive opportunities for young athletes.

"This partnership is not just support to run this tournament but it is an investment to one of our major events that we conduct during the school year," stated Troy Mendonca, Co-Director of the Petra Organisation.

Top two teams will qualify for the KFC Goodwill International football series in December, competing against teams from Suriname, Brazil, Jamaica, and Trinidad.
